Clean Out Your E-Reader Challenge

From the Fantasy Is More Fun Book Blog the Clean Out Your E-Reader Challenge is a month long challenge to help you read those free or nearly free ebook that are taking up space on your e-reader (or e-readers, whatever the case may be :)).

Here are the rules:

• Go through your E-readers and select the FREE OR NEARLY FREE (up to $5 will be accepted) books you’d like to read during the challenge. The book must have been free, (Kindle Deals, Netgalley, Etc.) Anyone caught not using a free book or a book that is pirated will be removed from challenge.
• Sign up via Linky on Fantasy Is More Fun.

• Choose a Goal:
Lightly Clean – 1 to 5 E-books
Spring Clean – 5 to 10 E-books
Deep Clean – More than 10 E-books

I'm going to go with "Lightly Clean" and try for two e-books and if I can read more, that's even better!

My Year of Firsts...In Series, That Is!

I've started a lot of new series this year.  I always use a "1st in a Series Challenge" tag to track my new series books on Shelfari and assuming I've tagged all the books properly, I've read 38 first in series books so far this year.  Wow, that's a lot!  Good news though -- it's much better than I thought it would be.  Of those 38 series, 16 of them I've either finished or caught up on and five more only have one book left to go. Of course it's not all good -- I've started 15 new series and never gotten beyond book one and this list only shows the series I started this year -- not ones I've started in the past (that's a whole other post :)). One thing that's really helped is the 2, 3, 4 Challenge we're doing in one of my Shelfari groups.  Part One can be found here and Part two here.  It's a great motivator and it's helping to remind me of series and books I need to catch up on.
